about

We used to play a song called "The Afterglow" and it was going to be on "I Know What You're Thinking". We recorded the drums, but we didn't like it anymore and we left it out of the record. During quarantine, we wrote a new song over that song's drum track. It's this one.

lyrics

I saw the future turn to past, too fast.
When the irony is so dark,
you can't help but laugh.

All I thought I'd be is drowned at the bottom of a glass.

Is hope a mistake?
can't we enjoy the rain?
Down the line we ache time and time again.

Fate diverts us from our path,
blurs the dim line in the sand.
right and wrong were once apart
telling men from sociopaths

When the tsunami left
it had washed it all away
Eventually we'll have to learn
to make a heaven from hell
